Several reports have been seen saying that the AMD Ryzen 7000 series of CPUs that will come with support for new technologies such as DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 will be officially launched on September 15 this year.
This latest AMD processing chip, which comes codenamed Zen 4 is seen to use a new motherboard platform called AM5 as well, and will come with four CPU options at the start of launch, including AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, AMD Ryzen 9 7900X, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X and AMD Ryzen 5 7600X.
The most notable difference with this latest CPU series is that AMD will eventually use the same LGA (Land Grid Array) pin array as Intel compared to PGA (Pin Grid Array) as what they used before. This socket is also named LGA 1718, indicating the number of pins present on the motherboard.
The AMD Ryzen 7000 series of processing chips with AM5 motherboards are also seen to only support DDR5 memory, so those who want to upgrade their computers to the new Zen 4 platform will have to buy new DDR5 memory which so far still shows a relatively expensive price tag. .
For now, AMD has yet to confirm if these details are accurate or not. But looking at previous leaks of information about computer components, we estimate that this information is most likely accurate.
