After launching the new MacBook Air at the WWDC 2022 event, Apple released the MacBook Pro. This laptop is also powered by the latest Apple M2 chip, this is the price!
The MacBook Pro M2 offers a 13.3-inch Retina display. This laptop is still decorated with a touch bar at the top of the keyboard, and is provided with Touch ID features, a Thunderbolt 2X port with USB 4 support, a 3.5mm audio jack and a cooling system.
"With its active cooling system, MacBook Pro is designed to maintain professional performance for those with more demanding workflows," the company said in a statement.
For connectivity, there is support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. This laptop has a 58.2 watt-hour battery that promises up to 17 hours of wireless web browsing and up to 20 hours of video playback.
Speaking of the M2, thanks to this chip users can get RAW images in applications like Affinity Photo, almost 40 percent faster than the previous generation. Even up to 3.4 times faster than Apple's silicone-free models
Playing graphics-intensive games like Baldur's Gate 3 is also nearly 40 percent faster than the previous generation, and up to 3.3x faster than Apple's no-silicon model.
The 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 also supports fast integrated memory of up to 24GB for smooth multitasking. Designed to dramatically speed up video workflows, MacBook Pro includes support for ProRes encode and decode, so users can play back up to 11 4K streams and up to two 8K ProRes video streams. In addition, users can convert their video projects to ProRes almost 3x faster than before.
The MacBook Pro 13-inch M2 comes in Silver and Space Grey. This laptop can be ordered starting June 17 in a number of countries with prices starting from USD 1,299 or USD 1,199 for students.
