Mobile phones on the market today are usually equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery that can last all day. Oukitel, a Chinese company, is trying to break that tradition by launching a phone with a 21,000 mAh battery!
The phone with the fantastic battery is the Oukitel WP19. This phone is designed as a tough phone for outdoor use. So the battery capacity is quite reasonable because it will be very useful if taken on long expeditions or camping on weekends.
Oukitel claims this phone battery can last up to a week on a single charge. With a battery capacity of 21,000 mAh, users can watch videos for up to 36 hours, listen to music for up to 123 hours, make phone calls for up to 122 hours, and can standby for up to 2,252 hours or about three months.
Unfortunately, this phone with a jumbo battery is not supported by the latest fast charging technology. The Oukitel WP19 only supports 27W fast charging, so a full charge will take about four hours.
Oukitel didn't mention the dimensions and weight of this phone, but from the renders the WP19 looks to have a very thick design thanks to its protective case. Because the dimensions are quite thick compared to most cellphones, it seems that the Oukitel WP19 is not suitable for use as a daily driver.
The Oukitel WP19 protective case itself is IP68/IP69 certified which makes it dust and water resistant to a depth of 1.5 meters. Do not miss the MIL-STD-810G certification which makes the body durable.
So what are the specifications? Oukitel WP19 carries the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset combined with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal memory, as quoted from Android Authority, Thursday (2/6/2022).
This phone has a 6.78-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels with a refresh rate of 90Hz. Do not miss the three rear cameras consisting of a 64 MP front camera, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 20 MP night vision camera.
On the front, there is a 16 MP selfie camera. Other complementary features include NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Android 12, and a fingerprint sensor on the side of the phone.
The Oukitel WP19 is currently available for purchase on AliExpress for 694 Euros. The price of a cellphone with a jumbo battery is equivalent to the price of flagship phones such as the Google Pixel 6 and Samsung Galaxy S21 FE.
