At the end of 2021 TikTok succeeded in displacing Google to become the top position for the most popular site in the world. This has taken the technology world by surprise.
Because TikTok, which is an application made by a Chinese company, ByteDance, became the first non-American site to be included in the list of the 10 most popular domains in the world.
But this time Google managed to reclaim its first position as the most popular site in the world. Cloudflare revealed that TikTok's dominance did not last until it was overtaken by Google. New data from Cloudfare in the last 30 days shows that Google is consistently at its peak in popularity.
According to Cloudflare data, TikTok first reached the top of the global traffic list on February 17, 2021, followed by several days in March and June. After August 10, TikTok feels at home perched on the top position.
TikTok is currently ranked second even though they are, this is still fairly good because it managed to beat Facebook and YouTube. Even Twitter and WhatsApp classmates should be thrown from the list of the 10 most popular domains in the world. And the newest player is Mozilla which is included in the list.
