Here is the leaked specifications of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra

The Xiaomi 12 Ultra seems to be a phone worth waiting for, because it will be the first phone in collaboration with Xiaomi and Leica. What are the specifications like? Here's the leak.

The phone is expected to be released in July, just two months after the collaboration between Xiaomi and Leica was announced. Rumors originating from Yogesh Brar say that in terms of hardware it will be the same as the camera on the Mi 11 Ultra, as reported by GSMArena, Thursday (16/6/2022).

This means that the main camera will have a resolution of 50MP complete with OIS, and may use a new sensor from Sony, the IMX8xx which has not been released at this time. Then there is a 5x 48MP telephoto camera, and a 48MP ultrawide camera.

Then there will be one additional component, namely the 3D ToF (time of flight) sensor to measure distance. While the selfie camera will likely stick with a 20MP camera module like the Mi 11 Ultra.

Then the screen will probably be the same as the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which is 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED with QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, in contrast to the Mi 11 Ultra screen which has a 6.81-inch non-LTPO screen.

The brain used is probably the latest SoC from Qualcomm, namely Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which is paired with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM, with 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The operating system used is MIUI 13 based on Android 12, and the battery has a capacity of 4,800 mAh with support for a 67W charger and 50W wireless fast charging.

There are also a number of other leaked specifications, but they contradict the existing leaks. Like the use of a 120W charger like the Xiaomi 12 Pro, it's also possible that Xiaomi will bring back a rear screen like the Mi 11 Ultra. However, it is likely that Xiaomi will use the back of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra to display the Leica logo in the form of the iconic red dot.
