Joe Biden Warns Russia About the Threat of Nuclear Weapons

Several Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin, have threatened the use of nuclear weapons. This is certainly a special concern of the President of the United States, Joe Biden.

The Russian side has said several times that it could fire nuclear weapons at NATO countries, especially the United States and Britain. In his column for the New York Times, Joe Biden stated that the United States at this time saw no indication that Russia was actually going nuclear.

The US also will not send long-range weapons to Ukraine that can reach Russian territory so that the conflict with Ukraine does not escalate.

But he stressed the Russian threat was dangerous. "The rhetoric to deploy nuclear swords is in itself dangerous and utterly irresponsible," he wrote as quoted by Politico.

"Let me be clear, any use of nuclear weapons in this conflict on any scale would be completely unacceptable to us and to the rest of the world and would have grave consequences," Biden said.

Threats from Russia even include launching the latest technology missiles such as the Sarmat which is nuclear warhead and capable of reaching very long distances. Will this bluff come true?

Andrey Kelin, the Russian Ambassador who is in the UK, said that his country would not use Tactical Nuclear weapons in Ukraine. This is because there are very strict rules for its use.

He said that such weapons were not used in conflicts like the one in Ukraine today. Russia will probably use it but especially when the country's very existence is under threat
