Leaked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 specifications, there are minor improvements

Samsung is predicted to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 4 this year. After several leaks, finally the full specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 were revealed a few months before its launch.

This leak comes from two tipster Ice Universe and Yogesh Brar. Overall, the predictions for both look the same but there are slight differences regarding RAM and the front camera.

If this leak is accurate, it looks like the Galaxy Z Fold 4 brings a not so big improvement compared to its predecessor. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is claimed to have a 7.6-inch AMOLED main screen with a QXGA + resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Meanwhile, the secondary screen on the outside reportedly uses a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with HD + resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. These specifications are more or less the same as those brought by the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Turning to the chipset, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will reportedly use the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 flagship chipset which has just been released. The RAM capacity options may be 12GB and 16GB depending on the model, with 256GB and 512GB of internal memory.

Its photography capabilities will rely on three rear cameras consisting of a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide lens, and a 3 x 12 MP telephoto lens, as quoted from 9to5Google, Tuesday (31/5/2022).

For the front camera, which is placed on the main screen, it still uses the camera below the screen. The resolution of the front camera is still a mystery, because Ice Universe says it will stay at 4 MP, while Yogesh Brar says it will be increased to 16 MP.

Closing the leaked specifications of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, this folding screen phone will reportedly be equipped with a 4,400 mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The operating system will run Android 12 wrapped in OneUI 4.1.1.

At first glance, the biggest improvement that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 brings is only from the rear camera. After several previous generations were only equipped with a 12 MP camera, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will use a 50 MP camera like the one used on the Galaxy S22+.

It looks like the improvements that Samsung will bring in this phone will focus on the hinge and screen design. Reportedly the hinge used will be thinner so that the second screen on the outside can be wider. In addition, Samsung is also rumored to be reducing the folds on the screen.
