MCMC Approves Merger Between Celcom And Digi

 The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission has now issued a notice of no objection to the proposed merger of Celcom and Digi.

MCMC said Celcom and Digi had submitted an undertaking that contained a commitment to address the competition issues that had been highlighted.

With this approval, we will be able to see Celcom and Digi go through the next phase in this merger process-including share transfers, and other processes in forming a new entity that will be the largest telecommunications company in Malaysia.
