Meta, the parent of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, launched several programs to protect the privacy of its users. Including making quizzes to provide information and education about personal data security.
The quiz is named Privacy100, which takes the idea from an old quiz called Family 100. In this quiz, Meta will provide important information to the public regarding data privacy.
For example, what personal data must be protected, features on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp that can be used to strengthen account security, tips for creating strong passwords, to tips on how to avoid trying to hack accounts such as phishing practices.
Through the Privacy100 quiz, we want to invite people to better understand how they can control privacy over Meta technologies by taking advantage of the features on the platform, and take steps to protect their personal data.
Keeping the community safe and informed so they can connect and share meaningful things on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp is very important to us at Meta. Through the Privacy100 quiz, we want to invite people to better understand how they can control privacy over Meta technologies by taking advantage of the features on the platform, and take steps to protect their personal data.
The Privacy100 Quiz will be live on June 22, 2022 on the Meta Facebook Page.
Privacy100 is part of Meta's Privacy Month series to share information, tips and updates on how people can protect and control their privacy.
Last May, Meta launched its Your Profile, Your Home campaign, an interactive website that will guide you through building a home with customizable protection, as well as how you set the level of privacy on your respective social media accounts. While playing, you can also learn about the features available on Facebook to strengthen the privacy of your account.
Protecting the privacy and security of users' personal data is fundamental to the way we do business, and it is the responsibility of everyone at Meta. We build tools to be more transparent to people and give them control over how their data is used, and we design every new product and feature with privacy in mind.
We hope that these initiatives that we undertake can increase understanding of the various privacy and security-related features that we have designed, so that everyone can keep their personal information safe online.
