Microsoft Tests File Sharing Feature Across Devices Via Edge

There are many file sharing services between devices that we can use. Android has Nearby Share, Apple has AirDrop, Send Anywhere among the third party applications we use, Files from Google is also quite interesting or users can also use file sharing between Samsung and Windows devices via Your Phone.

Microsoft recently tested a new feature for the same functionality on their Microsoft Edge web browser. This feature is called Drop and allows users to share files between devices directly on a web browser.

This feature can be accessed on the sidebar on the Edge, where there will be a messaging platform -like interface - only users will have to send the file to themselves. Users can send various types of files or even text such as Telegram which allows their users to message themselves.

Instead of images shared by the source, they are seen using the OneDrive system because there is a storage status that has been used. This means that if a user wants to share an archive file, it is actually possible to upload it to OneDrive via Edge and can download the previous file on Edge on the phone without opening OneDrive.

Currently this feature is still in the testing process and only users of the Canary version of Microsoft Edge Insider can test it. If it is launched later, do you think this feature is useful and will use it?
