Samsung launched the ViewFinity S8 monitor designed specifically for professional users. It comes in 27 ″ or 32 ″ IPS LCD sizes with 4K resolution support and 98% DCI-P3 color support. For those who need HDR support, the ViewFininity S8 surpasses the VESA HDR 600 standard.
The monitor also passes the PANTONE Validated standard which means it can display 200 colors under Pantone and 110 tones of skin color in the PANTONE SkinTone scale. Supported connections are USB-C, HDMI and Display Port. There is also a USB-A 3.0 for connection of various additional accessories. When the device is connected to a USB-C monitor, power up to 90W can be channeled. The neck of the monitor allows the user to change the height, elevation, side angle and even rotate to a vertical position.
The ViewFinity S8 is a regular monitor only and not a smart monitor like the M8 that has been launched before. It will enter the global market this month and its selling price in South Korea is 720,000 won (~ RM2453) for the 27 ″ and 820,000 won (~ RM2794) for the 32 model.
