Samsung Wallet Launched To Store Identity Cards, Credit Cards, Keys And Digital Passes

Samsung Wallet was officially launched today to allow users of Samsung devices to store identity cards, payment cards, keys, flight passes and many more physical cards digitally. Last February the Samsung Wallet was just announced during the launch event of the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Tab S8.

In terms of features it is similar to Google Wallet and Apple Wallet which were launched a few months ago. In addition, Samsung Wallet can also be used to store digital assets such as users' cryptocurrencies securely. Samsung Knox technology is used as a layer of security. SmartThings integration allows smart keys used at home to be stored in the Samsung Wallet.

For owners of BMW, Genesis, and Hyundai cars, the Samsung Wallet can be used as a digital key. Currently Samsung Wallet is given to consumers in the United States, Italy, Germany, France, Spain and the United Kingdom first before being offered to more markets.
