Sony Wants to Bring More PlayStation Games to PC

 


Sony is known to get a lot of profit, from selling ex-PlayStation exclusive games. Now, they have expressed their desire, to bring more titles to PC.

The video game giant says roughly one-third of its PlayStation game portfolio will hit the mouse-and-keyboard platform by 2025. As many gamers know well, they have plenty of popular titles.


Some of them include Insomniac's Ratchet & Clank, Santa Monica Studio's God of War or Naughty Dog's The Last of Us. Although basically, PlayStation games are famously exclusive, Sony has now started moving them to PC, as reported by us from Kotaku, Tuesday (31/5/2022).



Even though he has already stated his big plans for the next few years. In fact, they don't want to reveal the next PlayStation exclusive game, which will contribute to providing PC gamers with a more enjoyable experience.


Meanwhile, there are at least three titles that have played an important role in providing profits through the PC port. Starting from Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War and the zombie-based game Days Gone.


The title, directed by Guerrilla Games, has sold 2.39 million copies and has earned $60 million in revenue. Then Kratos' journey in God of War managed to collect player purchases of 971 thousand copies.


With a revenue value of USD 26.2 million . Followed by Days Gone, which spread 852 thousand copies, and sales of USD 22.7 million.


According to the data it presented, Sony revealed its portfolio for PC games was very good, generating $300 million during fiscal 2022. That's three times more than fiscal 2021 and 10 times more than 2020.
