The Amazon App Now Allows Users To Try On Shoes With AR

With Apple ARKit, developers can use APIs and code from Apple to take advantage of iOS’s built -in augmented reality features on the iPhone or iPad. With the iPhone 12 Pro and 13 Pro, it is more immersive due to the presence of LiDAR sensors.

The Ikea Home App is among the apps that take advantage of Apple ARKit, allowing users to arrange furniture in the home with digital products for an overview before buying. Recently, Amazon added an augmented reality feature to their shopping app in the United States.

This feature allows users to try on shoes before buying with augmented reality. Among the shoe brands that can be tried are New Balance, adidas, Reebok, Puma, Superga, Lacoste, Asics, and Saucony.

This feature called Virtual Try-On can be accessed when a user selects a shoe on Amazon to add to the cart. After the shoe is tried on, the color or design of the shoe can also be changed directly from the same interface and the foot can also be moved to view from various other angles.

Virtual Try-On is offered directly through the Amazon app on iOS for users in the United States and Canada.
