PUBG Mobile wants to play games not only about competition, but can still be entertaining as usual. Vincent Wang, General Manager of Global Publishing and Global Esports Tencent Games, also revealed the tips they did.
According to him, every game has the ability to entertain and make the players happy. So many aspects need to be considered, starting from the gameplay or visual design, which is worked on based on fan input.
“We considered what they liked or didn't like, and how those changes would impact the way the game plays for other players. Like many aspects of our lives, balance is key,” Wang told us recently.
Wang said that his party built a platform to provide space for two types, namely, first, ordinary players, to enjoy playing games as they wish and have fun. Then accommodate competitive players and support them, if you want to pursue a professional career in the esports industry.
"Again, although localization is key for PUBG Mobile, we also want to bring content that our players will love," said Wang.
He gave examples, such as the collaboration with Bumilangit Entertainment, presenting the Indonesian hero, namely Gundala, into the game. Where it is realized as one of the playable characters, and also introduces it in the form of cool skins or sets.
"In addition to fulfilling the desire of Indonesian fans to see familiar characters in the game, this also allows us to introduce local characters from various markets to the international community," he added.
Their concern for the community is no longer in doubt. Previously, PUBG Mobile had introduced an epic program titled Games for Good.
"Not only as a campaign, Games for Good is the basis for everything we do at PUBG Mobile, and we want to promote and amplify the positive impact of esports and mobile games around the world," concluded Wang.
