Wear OS Will Support Google Fast Pair To Tether Audio Accessories

Google Fast Pair is Google’s answer to Apple for a fast pairing system for various accessories. Fast Pair is already available on Android devices and it can be used if accessories like TWS, headphone sets and more support it.

Just turn on the accessory, the smartphone will start detecting the accessory. It will also continue to be synced in the user’s Google account for easy use among other Android devices.

Recently, Google has updated the Google Play Services system application to version 22.24. In this update’s change log on the device connectivity section, Google stated Wear OS will begin supporting Fast Pair for tethering audio accessories such as headphone sets directly to wearable devices running this operating system.

For now, this update is still being distributed in stages and has not been widespread yet. Not sure how it will work and is it easier than traditional mooring. Anyway, it’s interesting enough to see Google Fast Pair expanded to more platforms.
