WhatsApp Finally Releases Hide Last Seen Feature from Certain Contacts

WhatsApp officially added a new privacy feature that allows users to hide the Last Seen status and profile photo of certain contacts.

This new privacy feature is called "My contacts except...". Previously, users were only given three choices, namely the privacy of Everyone, My Contacts, and Nobody. This means that the user now has four options for controlling the account regarding its privacy.

As the name implies, the new feature "My contacts except...", will allow users to select certain people from their contact list who can see their profile picture, about and last seen status on WhatsApp.

For the record, when a user chooses to enable hiding their status from others, the user will also not be able to see their status.

Reported by us from GSM Arena, this feature has also been launched for all users globally both for Android and iOS devices.

To access it is also easy, you can open the menu option Settings > Account > Privacy on iPhone and Android devices to try out the new privacy controls.

In addition, WhatsApp also released a new feature that allows users to mute other people when making group calls to quickly send messages to fellow participants, without having to miss an ongoing conversation.

And also WhatsApp has just introduced the ability to make group calls of up to 32 people. Through this large group call, planning an event after the pandemic or a wedding with many people is not a problem.
