Xiaomi had already announced last month that they would be partnering with Leica for imaging technology. While they did not reveal what device will be launched with Leica technology, leaked information reveals it is the Xiaomi 12 Ultra.
The device is expected to come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED LTPO, 120Hz screen, powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip that is matched with memory of up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and internal storage reaching 512GB of UFS3.1. For the camera, the back will come with a 50MP sensor (OIS) + 48MP (ultra wide angle) + 48MP (periscope, 5x zoom), ToF, supports laser autofocus as well as a 20MP front camera. The device will run Android 12 -based MIUI 13, has a 4,800mAh battery with 67W fast charging and 50W fast wireless charging.
Xiaomi today stated that imaging on mobile devices and video recording is becoming increasingly important for everyone. Next July, there will be new products launched focusing on video as well as photography.
In a post on Weibo, Xiaomi also shared Xiaomi and Leica posters with the statement that the new era of imaging will arrive in July. If it’s what we all thought, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will be launched soon.
