Along with the introduction of the ZTE Blade V40 Vita today, ZTE also shared plans to update their Axon series for users in Malaysia. Through it, the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will be introduced and rumored to arrive around September. As far as is known, only the Ultra variation will be offered. Meanwhile, pro variations are rumored to be limited in China and a few other selected markets.
The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra uses a 6.8-inch OLED BOE screen with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip is also used with memory matching up to 16GB (LPDDR5) and 1TB internal storage (UFS 3.1). The battery is 5,000mAh which also supports 80W fast charging.
The tri-camera system used consists of 64MP (IMX 787) + 64MP + 64MP settings. Next, the front camera is a kind of bottom screen with a 16MP sensor. Other specifications include running Android 12, a USB-C connection port and more.
