ASUS ROG Cetra True Wireless is a set of in-ear wireless earphones with handles and silicone buds for added comfort. Also available are additional silicone buds with two different sizes intended for ease of use - one smaller the other larger. The charging pod provided is also not too big and easy to handle.
The entire charger pod uses a plastic -based material with a matte finish that is definitely capable of giving better grip. Putting it in a pocket or small bag also does not feel burdensome because of the good body shape. There is also the ROG logo which symbolizes the branding of the product itself. Its use is also made easier with the presence of indicators for the right and left.
Just open the cover at the top there will be an LED light that will light up. There is also a thin -shaped RGB illumination on the outside of the charger pod to indicate the battery level. Unfortunately, there is no ability for modifications to it. Furthermore, this charging pod can also be charged wirelessly which is a feature that is quite difficult to find on earphones with this price range.
Next, it also uses a USB-C connection port intended for the recharging process. It is placed on the back close to the hinges. To further facilitate the user experience, the USB-A to USB-C cable also comes once in the purchase box.
Usage Experience
On our observation, the ASUS ROG Cetra True Wireless is a set of wireless earphones with an ergonomic design. It is also lightweight and comfortable to use even for long periods of time. The combination of the body with a non -glossy finish with a plain hue of black looks quite neat and simple.
At the same time, care is also quite easy as it is hard to get dirty and not dull. Coupled with a wide selection of ear buds also makes it easier for us to get the right size for the ear. This is to make the usage experience better without easily escaping from the ears while shaking the head while listening to a lively genre song.
In terms of performance, the ASUS ROG Cetra True Wireless has an audio profile towards louder but with a quieter treble. Details on the audio are much hidden. At the same time, it is also inconsistent with the sound profile that there are good times and there are less satisfactory times. In addition, we also found that each bass beep had a static effect but not so frequently.
Nevertheless, the ability for mid-bass is found to be slightly different where it can be classified as quite strong and good. We can also say this is one of the best things on this TWS. However, it is still not perfect as it is still not able to provide the perfect bass experience for satisfaction while listening.
One more thing, the resulting vocal cast sounds a little sharp and not quite natural. As a result, the listening experience becomes less pleasant due to the clutter. In one instance it also sounds so relaxed.
Touching on quality, we think his abilities here are not very satisfactory. The resulting throw is less pronounced and not high enough. Due to that, the details generated through it can be said to be insufficient. More frustratingly, the high -pitched cast also sounded unsatisfactory as the results did not reach the level they were supposed to. At the same time, the audio staging is also a bit chaotic as if all the instruments are played at close range - so much so that one likes to differentiate from each other.
One more thing, it also works on two different applications. We mean here, the ASUS ROG Cetra True Wireless is seen to still need the Armory Crate app in the Play Store if it wants to be used together on the Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro device. It will not not work when used on a pre -built Armory Crate app. Next, we also found no changes to the audio quality for use through the app. On the other hand, the only advantage is the presence of optimization abilities for first play only.
Battery
Each advertised earphone can last up to 5.5 hours of use on a single charge. It can then be increased to 21.5 hours with the help of a charging pod. Continuous real-world use allows it to operate for about 4 hours before needing to be recharged. This however actually depends on the level of audio strength on a continuous basis.
This lifespan isn’t entirely bad, but it could probably be better. What is a priority here is not a question of how long it is capable of operating with the charger pod. Rather durability for each earphone itself. The estimated recharging period takes more than an hour to fully complete via the USB-C connection port.
Conclusion
Does the ASUS ROG Cetra True Wireless provide a positive perspective or vice versa? On our observation, it has both. Why? Undoubtedly, every design element created by ASUS is interesting and creative. RGB lighting support makes it look more prominent, moreover there are not many wireless earphones on the market that feature such a design. So, it doesn't look bored with the usual design.
However we have to say that the performance of these earphones is not able to provide a satisfactory listening experience. With a selling price of RM515, it can be said to be a bit less worth it in terms of audio quality. The reason is there are still several other options with better audio quality on sale. The closest competitor to earphones is definitely the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Pro Earbuds. However, if the external aspect is an option, it feels fine.
The shortage also lies in its own consistent ecosystem. On the assumption that better use can be enjoyed with the device than the ROG itself. It turns out to be a mistake, which is why it requires two different applications for comprehensive use. The experience is the same as you use these earphones on other brand smart devices.
But as always, every human being has a different interest in a product. Maybe some of you think it's interesting. No less also agree with our personal opinion in this review article. For those who are interested, these earphones are already available in Malaysia through authorized ASUS distributors throughout Malaysia.
