Asus Zenfone 9 is officially announced. This cellphone can be a formidable opponent for the iPhone 13 Mini because it offers a compact body with qualified specifications, as well as a more affordable price.
Zenfone 9 has a 5.9-inch Full HD + screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and has a brightness level of up to 800 nits. Asus uses an AMOLED panel that has 115% sRGB, 112% DCI-P3 color gamut and HDR10+ support.
To make it even more beautiful, Asus collaborates with the leading visual processing company Pixelworks to provide visuals that are pleasing to the eye through extraordinary color accuracy. The screen is also coated with Gorilla Glass Victus so as to minimize scratches and impacts.
Despite its tiny shape, the kitchen is super speeding. Because this cellphone is supported by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 combined with 5 to 16 GB LPDDR RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage up to 256 GB.
The Zenfone 9 also runs cooler and faster than before, with a completely revamped cooling system. It now uses a high-tech steam room instead of heat pipes, and there are advanced heat spreaders that use copper, graphite sheets, and thermal paste.
This cellphone also puts forward the ability of photography. Asus provides Zenfone 9 cameras on the back measuring 50 MP with a Sony IMX766 sensor and equipped with a 6-axis Hybrid Gimbal Stabilizer to keep blur and shake free when shooting or recording videos. In addition, Asus embeds a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, while on the front a 12 MP selfie camera is installed.
The battery owned by Asus Zenfone 9 has a capacity of 4300 mAh which is equipped with power-saving components so that it can last longer than before. Charging is also fast, thanks to the 30-watt HyperCharge adapter, it can charge up to 50% in less than 30 minutes.
There are interesting features provided by Asus on this cellphone. The ZenTouch multi-function power button is mounted on the side for easy use of the Zenfone 9 with one hand. Apart from one-touch unlocking with the built-in fingerprint sensor, it allows users to swipe their thumb up, down or double click.
for various functions including voice-to-text, opening notifications, reloading web pages, and moving to the top/bottom of the page, and media control.
Speaking of looks, the back of the Zenfone 9 is made of a newly developed textured surface, made from an advanced material that's really tough and comfortable, yet still gripping and also reduces the weight of the phone by up to 30% than before, the company said. This cellphone is IP68 certified which means it is water and dust resistant.
Asus presents Zenfone 9 in Midnight Black, Starry Blue, Sunset Red and Moonlight White colors. This Taiwanese vendor also released a Connex Case accessory for his new cellphone that allows users to install a Connex Card Holder or Connex Smart Stand.
There's also a new Smart Backpack Mount for securely attaching the Zenfone 9 to a backpack strap. Users can insert or remove this cellphone from the magnetic holder in just a second, there is also a security cable.
Speaking of prices, Asus has priced the Zenfone 9 starting at USD 699 for the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM model. It's much more affordable than the 128GB iPhone 13 Mini.
Zenfone 9 will be launched in Europe, Hong Kong and Taiwan first, then will then visit North America, Japan, parts of South America and Indonesia.
