Burn Vlogger While Livestreaming, Ex-Husband Sentenced to Death

An influencer in China has been executed on death row for his very sadistic crime. He set fire to his ex-wife, a famous vlogger, while she was livestreaming.

As quoted by us from the Mirror, based on an order from the Supreme Court of China, the suspect named Tang Lu has been executed according to the judge's decision issued at the end of 2021.

The story is, Lu and his wife Lamu divorced in June 2020 after 11 years of marriage. Both are influencers on Douyin, which is China's version of TikTok.

Lu apparently still keeps approaching Lamu because he wants to restore their marriage, but Lamu continues to reject him. Sadly, in September 2020, Lu came to his ex-wife's house, doused it with fuel and set it on fire while it was live.

The vlogger, who was 30 years old, suffered severe burns and died a few weeks later. The court judged that Lu's crimes were truly extraordinary and deserved the death penalty.

Lamu who was better known as Lhamu on the internet when he was still alive had tens of thousands of followers on Douyin. He often portrays his daily life in rural Sichuan region, sometimes wearing traditional Tibetan clothes.

His death caused deep sorrow and received widespread attention. The day after Lamu died, Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed that the protection of women should be a top priority in his country.

Then the hashtag #LhamoAct was trending on local social media, to ask law enforcement agencies to act on domestic violence.

Lamu's brother spoke that the vlogger had suffered abuse from her husband for years so decided to divorce her. Tragically, he died at the hands of his ex-husband.
