China now intends to form a defense center or fortress on the Moon, as well as protect the Earth from any asteroid attack from there.
With this step, it simultaneously allows the Earth to continue to be protected from the threats of comets or asteroids that may harm the Earth.
Through this plan, as many as three satellites are expected to be used which will orbit in protecting the Earth. In addition, two optical telescopes will monitor any movements that may endanger our planet.
If any dangerous object approaches, the system will automatically send the nearest satellite to block and change the course of an asteroid. This method is expected to operate faster than launching a rocket attack from Earth.
Today, there are no dangerous asteroids headed for Earth. But, with the various activities in space and the high number of satellites, it makes space monitoring more difficult. Forming a center on the Moon, is expected to overcome this problem.
China is expected to invite several other countries in the project on the Moon, and may establish a settlement on the Moon as early as 2030 later. Anyway, before that, China is expected to launch several satellites to the Moon to monitor a number of things.
