ChromeOS Flex Gives a New Breath to Your Old Computer

Google’s operating system, ChromeOS typically does not require a computer with powerful specifications to run. In short, it is an operating system that uses web browser technology to run various functions and applications.

Recently, Google has introduced ChromeOS Flex, a software that can be used to install the ChromeOS operating system on older computers that may be too slow to run operating systems such as Microsoft Windows or MacOS.

ChromeOS Flex is also technically nothing new. Having taken over Neverware, the company responsible for developing the same software called CloudReady, Google has tested ChromeOS Flex starting earlier this year on 400 laptops from various brands and has eliminated 600 issues on the software, and is now available to the public.

For now, ChromeOS Flex seems to be only offered for the IT division of companies or educational institutions, specifically for organizations that are seen still using computers that may not have the latest and greatest specifications.

Aside from extending the life of laptops, the use of ChromeOS is also said to reduce the hostage software problem that is seen plaguing many small and large companies today.
