In addition to the new Alienware laptop, Dell has also updated another of their gaming laptops, the Dell G16 which comes with a familiar design, but has quite powerful specifications.
One of the uniqueness of this latest Dell G16 comes through the screen display used. It uses an IPS panel with a QHD+ resolution (2560×1600) with a 165Hz refresh rate that also has a 16:10 frame ratio. The use of this display allows this laptop to use a 16-inch panel in the frame of a 15-inch laptop.
This laptop is powered by an Intel Core i7-12700H CPU, DDR5 memory options up to 32GB and PCIe 4.0 SSD storage of up to 1TB. The base model of this laptop comes with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti option, and for the more expensive models, Dell offers the use of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card.
Interestingly, the base model of the Dell G16 does not come with support for Thunderbolt 4 data transmission technology, and is only offered on more expensive models. The design of this laptop is also seen to be more minimalistic and less eye-catching, following the trend of people who prefer less prominent patterns.
Dell G16 with Intel Alder Lake processing chip is expected to be offered in some selected markets first from July 21 at a starting price of $1399.
