For astronomy lovers who are looking forward to meteor showers, there will be three meteor showers in the night sky towards the end of July 2022, to be precise on July 28 and July 30, 2022.
Quoted from the astronomical site Langitselatan.com, July 28 is the time for the Piscis Austrinid meteor shower, while July 30 will be the Southern Delta Aquarid meteor shower. Here is the explanation:
July 28 - Piscis Austrinid Meteor Shower
The Piscis Austrinid meteor shower will be the first meteor shower to peak activity in July with a maximum of 5 meteors per hour.
Taking place from July 15 to August 10, this meteor shower will appear to come from the constellation Piscis Austrinus at a speed of 35 km / sec. The Piscid Austriid meteor shower can be observed from 19:52 WIB until dawn.
July 30 - Southern Delta Aquarid Meteor Shower
The Delta Aquariid meteor shower is a meteor shower that comes from the debris of comets Marsden and Kracht Sungrazing. Just like the Aquarid eta, the southern Aquarid delta meteor shower, which lasts from July 12 to August 23, also appears to come from the constellation Aquarius. This meteor shower will reach its peak on July 30 with 25 meteors per hour at a speed of 41 km/s.

The Aquarid meteor shower can be observed from 19:44 WIB until dawn. Just as the Southern Delta Aquarid meteor shower radians rose, the crescent moon set on the western horizon. Therefore there will be no Moon until dawn.
July 30 - Alpha Capricornid
In addition to the Southern Delta Aquarid and Piscis Austrinid, on July 30 the Alpha Capricornid meteor shower will reach its peak. The meteor shower, which runs from July 3 to August 15, will appear to come from the direction of the constellation Capricorn and originate from comet 45P Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova. Another assumption is that the origin of this meteor shower is from the asteroid 2002 EX12 which was later known as comet 169P/NEAT.
The peak of the Capricornid meteor shower will occur on July 30 at a rate of 5 meteors per hour. However, there are usually fireballs that form and pass through the night sky.
The constellation Capricorn has risen since sunset and observers can enjoy the Alpha Capricornid meteor shower all night until dawn. The moon sets at 19:45 WIB. Therefore there will be no Moon until dawn.
