The air condition around Jabodetabek has not been good for the past few days. Using an air purifier or air purifier at home may be a reasonable choice, and Dyson Purifier Cool Formaldehyde may be one of your choices.
The official name of this device is indeed long, and maybe a bit scary because there is the word formaldehyde. But instead that is the mainstay of Dyson's feature, namely the ability to filter formaldehyde gas, which is a gaseous form of formaldehyde.
Formaldehyde can be produced from a variety of things, from cigarette smoke, vehicle exhaust fumes, to wood furniture and many household cleaning products. Oh yes, Dyson also claims Purifier Cool Formaldehyde can filter the flu, based on results in their lab.
Not only filtering the air, this air purifier also has a sensor that can analyze the air quality in the room, which can then be presented in detail through the application, but still easy to understand.
Other features of this product are blade-less fan technology and Air Multiplier. Where the fan blades are stored at the bottom that are not visible and the air is flowed through the sidelines of the top.
The wind can be directed to various angles, precisely with a rotation of up to 350 degrees, and Dyson claims that this product can circulate the wind and purify the air into a room of 81 square meters.
Through the application, users will be presented with various data. For example, temperature, humidity, levels of PM2.5, levels of PM10, VOC (volatile organic compound), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), formaldehyde (HCHO). Or if you want it easier, users can see the combined data in the air quality section.
This sensor will continue to function even if the device is not turned on (as long as it remains connected to electricity). So users can still monitor the air condition in the room. Oh yes, because the Cool Formaldehyde Purifier is also connected to the internet via a WiFi connection, users can also turn it on/off, or simply check the air quality of the room, even if they are not in the room.
If opening the app on your phone is too much of a hassle to simply adjust the wind speed, Dyson also includes a small remote control for making various settings. Even the remote is made very premium, with a metal body and a small and ergonomic design.
Admittedly, the user experience of Purifier Cool Formaldehyde is very good. Easy to use and understand. Much different than other cheaper air purifier products. The price can't lie, because this product is not just a fan with an air filter.
The air sensor used is also very sensitive. For example, when someone burns garbage near the house, even when I haven't smelled it, the Purifier Cool Formaldehyde sensor can detect it, and the small screen on this device immediately displays a red color, a sign that the air condition is not good.
It's just that, sometimes I forget that this Cool Formaldehyde Purifier is an air purifier, because I often use this product like a fan. Unfortunately, if it is used as a fan, it doesn't feel right. Because the wind is not too strong.
You can, really, make it louder by increasing the speed, but the sound becomes very noisy. I can only tolerate a speed of 5 (on a scale of 1-10 available) on the Cool Formaldehyde Purifier. On top of that the sound is already quite annoying.
Oh yes, Dyson recommends replacing the Purifier Cool Formaldehyde filter every 12 months. The condition of this filter can also be seen from the Dyson Link application which shows the remaining filter time.
With the price, it is clear that the Cool Formaldehyde Purifier is a very expensive air purifier, because many other air purifiers are cheaper. But is this device worth this high price? In my opinion, yes.
