Google Meet can be an online meeting ground for 500 participants simultaneously. This feature is very useful when a pandemic with many classes is done online for example. But 500 is still a low number in some cases. Google now also provides a feature to stream Google Meet sessions directly to YouTube.
To use this feature, the option to stream needs to be enabled from the Meet app. Previously, users had to apply for permission from Google first and it would be processed within 24 hours. Because the session is streamed to YouTube, participants can then watch again after the session they joined or missed.
Currently only Google Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, and Teaching and Learning Upgrade customers can use this feature.
