Gurman - iMac Pro With M3 Max Chip Still Being Developed By Apple

Apple finished the iMac Pro in 2021 and then the 27-inch iMac with the Intel chip was also discontinued. This makes the iMac option a 24-inch version with an Apple M1 chip only. If you want a more "pro" option, Apple offers a 27-inch Display Studio with Mac Studio powered by an M1 Ultra or M1 Max chip.

But the combination of Studio Display and Mac Studio is still not suitable to be a replacement for the iMac Pro, which is an all-in-one device specifically for professional users. December 2021, there are rumors that Apple will come up with a new iMac Pro with an LED mini screen, but it is rumored that this pro model will only arrive in 2023 and Apple will probably offer an iMac with an M3 chip first.

Mark Gurman recently claimed that Apple is still developing a more powerful iMac with a larger screen. This powerful iMac is said to be likely to be powered by a more powerful Apple M3 chip, perhaps the M3 Pro or the M3 Max. The chip was built by TSMC with a 3nm design, which will only arrive around 2023.
