Huawei launched a series of new products at the Huawei APAC Smart Office Launch 2022 Event. One of the most anticipated devices is the Huawei MateBook D16.
At the event held in Bangkok, Thailand, July 27, 2022, Huawei not only released one, but several devices. In addition to the Huawei MateBook D16, this launch also introduces the Huawei MateBook X Pro, Huawei MatePad Pro 11, and Huawei MateBook D14 i3.
Huawei is focused on developing the 1+8+N concept to connect various products together. There were various innovative technologies that were presented for the first time on the MateBook D-Series through the Huawei MateBook D16. "The Huawei MateBook D16 is designed as a 'large-screen laptop' that bridges the gap between ultra-premium devices such as the Huawei MateBook X Pro and the entry-level line of laptops in the D series. This brings the allure of being a smart device at an affordable price.

Wrapped in a lightweight metal design, the Huawei MateBook D16 weighs only 1.7 kilograms. This device weighs the equivalent of a 15-inch laptop even though the screen is actually 16 inches. The MateBook D16 puts forward a larger screen design that can drive increased productivity to entertainment.
This laptop also inherits the MateBook family's FullView Display design, which is visible on the 4.6mm ultra-thin bezels on the left and right, resulting in a high screen-to-body ratio of up to 90%. This combination of designs allows the MateBook D16 to accommodate a larger screen in a compact body, which provides a wider viewing perspective as well as a more immersive user experience.
Not only that, the MateBook D16 also looks sturdy thanks to a reflection of the industry's high standards in terms of materials, workmanship, and build quality, thus ensuring this laptop is part of Huawei's premium line of laptops with performance powered by Intel Core 12t Gen H-Series, RAM 16GB and 512GB SSD, spacious keyboard and 1080p AI webcam.

Huawei MateBook D16 is the first laptop from Huawei that is able to increase the signal conversion rate by 56%, thanks to the support of Metalline Antenna technology that facilitates high-speed internet access.
In addition, several advanced features have also been added to further enhance the performance of the MateBook D16, such as the Super Device for smooth connectivity across Huawei devices, Fingerprint Power Button for high flexibility, and fast charging with a USB Type-C charger that is only the size of a credit card.
The 1080p webcam that is presented also has a FollowCam feature which automatically follows the speaker and if there are additional participants, the camera will automatically zoom out to ensure all participants can be seen properly in 1 frame.
The Huawei MateBook D16 can already be ordered in the market at the same time as its global launch.
