Apple recently updated the developer’s guide to publishing apps in the App Store, the App Store Review Guideline to mandatory allow users to delete accounts directly from the app if the app offers an account creation feature.
Instagram is now seen to have updated their app to follow this new guide. Users can now directly delete their accounts directly from the app.
With this update, users can not only delete accounts but can also deactivate accounts temporarily. According to Instagram, this update is to give users more control over the use of the app so as not to become an obsession. It’s a more extreme feature than the Time Spent feature that can set a limited amount of time to use Instagram.
If you want to delete or deactivate your Instagram account, update the app to the latest version. Then open the settings and go to the account, find Delete account, choose whether you want to Deactivate account or Delete account. Instagram will then help you to do the next process like entering a password for verification.
