LG is releasing a new monitor for content creators and those working on coding. The device is called LG DualUp Monitor 28MQ780, here are the specifications.
Different from most monitors on the market, the LG DualUp 28MQ780 has a 16:18 ratio. This is equivalent to a vertical stack of two 16:9 monitors.
The screen size is 27.6 inches with an SDQHD resolution of 2,560 x 2,880 pixels. Using LG's Nano IPS technology for the panel, this screen controls 98% of the DCI-P3-based color spectrum which makes it capable of displaying brilliant colors with minimal distortion details.
While the ability to handle High Dynamic Range (HDR) images, makes it able to present content with wide lighting details. Interestingly, this monitor can be paired on two different devices at the same time.
Users can drag and drop between devices making it easier to transfer files.
This new monitor was developed with the LG Ergo Stand monitor stand. This stand has a variety of settings for the position facing the monitor with the user, starting from the level of height, far close, tilt, to the ability to rotate the monitor.
The LG DualUp Monitor can be rotated up to 335 degrees. Bigger even than the previous generation of LG Ergo Stand stand which reached 280 degrees.
Regarding ports, LG provides a USB Type C port to connect with projectors, laptops and other mobile devices. This connectivity not only provides speed in data transfer, but also benefits at the same time when it comes to 90W charging.
In addition there are HDMI, DisplayPort and USB 3.0 ports giving it the ability to connect with several other digital devices at once. There are also Two 7 Watt integrated speakers that support this LG monitor.
