Meta Wants To Double The Views Of Random Content On Your Instagram And Facebook Timeline

Meta today shared a number of developments on their platform, including related to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in recommending and displaying content deemed appropriate to users.

According to Mark Zuckerberg, today around 15% of the content displayed on Facebook and Instagram timelines is content that is suggested and displayed randomly according to algorithms. This allows users to discover new content and content creators on the platform.

At the same time, Mark Zuckerberg said they will double that display next year – making it 30%. Roughly speaking, it will make 1 out of 3 content you see later be suggested content.

This may not be of interest to many, and some have even begun to dislike the display of random content rather than being recognized on someone's timeline.

However, maybe Meta is following in TikTok's footsteps in showing random content – which seems to have caught the attention of many users around the world.
