Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) will give rebates to consumers affected by power outages earlier this week.
Previously, last Wednesday, there was a breakdown in one of the equipment at TNB's Main Input Substation (PMU) in Yong Peng North, affecting 10% of the electricity supply in Peninsular Malaysia. This at the same time made TNB temporarily ration the supply in some areas, leading to a power outage for about two hours more.
The minister said that later consumers can make rebate claims if they are affected by this interference.
More information regarding it will be shared after it is presented in Parliament on August 4.
