MyCERT has now issued a warning regarding a new scam method, where fraudsters contact users via WhatsApp, and say they are offering jobs from Shopee, in addition to cash rewards and winning lucky draw prizes.
Speaking of which, Shopee emphasized that they do not take any parties for the purpose of hiring, other than only organizing any competitions through Shopee's official application only.
People are advised to be careful and not be fooled by this new method. There have been several reports of identity theft, in addition to victims losing money due to this fraud.
