Netflix announced they now support spatial audio on some content on their platform. Through this feature, the audio from the watched content will move in action on the screen when matched with a sound system that supports spatial audio. Supporting content can be searched by typing “Spatial Audio” in the search box.
To bring spatial audio, Netflix partnered with Sennheiser with their Sennheiser AMBEO audio system. Televisions connected to a surround sound system can enjoy spatial audio now. To the owners of Dolby ATMOS and 5.1 audio systems, spatial audio is not activated because the system used now is better.
For users of the Apple ecosystem, spatial audio is supported on certain models of iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. Supported audio accessories are Airpods Gen 3, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max and Beats Fit Pro.
