Netflix Plan With Ad Support Will Use Microsoft Technology

 


Netflix today announced plans with ad support they will use advertising technology from Microsoft globally. Microsoft was chosen because they were able to offer flexibility in advertising to customers but at the same time still maintain their privacy.



Netflix’s plan with ad support was confirmed by CEO Ted Serrandos at the Cannes Lion festival last month. The plan will target those who feel their cheapest subscriptions are still too expensive and don’t mind if there are ads to reduce costs to them.


This year the number of Netflix subscribers is declining as competition from other streaming platforms as well as the world is back open after the pandemic. The downward trend is seen in Europe and America but not in Asia. Therefore more focus will be given to Asian content by Netflix under their turnaround plan.
