Sony has shared more information about its upcoming PlayStation VR2 virtual reality set. They confirmed the PS VR2 will have a see-through mode that will allow the wearer to see the real world without having to remove the headset. This is a standard feature that modern virtual reality sets support.
Next users can access the live streaming mode directly from the PS VR2 interface and stream their video while using the PS VR2 with video game content displayed once.
More importantly, users can set the game space with the PS VR2 camera that will scan the surrounding space in 3D. With this, the issue of players colliding with real world objects while immersed in the VR world will be solved.
Finally there is also a cinematic mode that allows 2D games and videos to be played in PS VR2 with it looking like a giant TV screen. In this mode the content will be displayed in 1920×1080 HDR resolution with a frame rate of 24/60/120 Hz.
