In November last year, we reviewed the Redmi Buds 3 Pro TWS earphones which were also rebranded to become Poco Buds Pro. Recently, Xiaomi has sent us another variation of the Poco Buds Pro earphones that comes in collaboration with the popular Genshin Impact.
These earphones are called Poco Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition and come with a themed design of one of the game's characters, which is Klee. What's interesting about these earphones is that from the design of the box, to the charging case and the earphones all come with this character-based design.

In a review like this, we normally don't emphasize aspects other than the device itself, but for these earphones, Poco seems to have worked hard to create something truly unique and provide an unboxing experience that I can say is quite different from the others. another.
Starting with this Poco Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition earphone box, it comes with the design of one of the weapons used by Klee, which is Dodoco Tales. This weapon comes with the design of a book, and that's the design used by Poco for this earphone case.
When opened, you can see the charging frame and earphones with the red and four-leaf clover design that is the logo for Klee. These earphones also come with a "bag" to store these earphones, which resembles the design of the backpack he uses in the game. In the meantime, Poco also includes a USB-C charging cable and additional silicone for different ear sizes that can be easily changed if needed.
In my opinion, Poco has done the best in terms of developing an earphone that fits well with the theme of the Genshin Impact game. What's even more interesting is that Klee's voice can be heard in English when the earphones are activated and connected to your device.
As said, these earphones use TWS Redmi Buds 3 Pro as the base, so the specifications for these earphones are the same. These include the use of 10mm audio drivers, three built-in microphones, IPX4 water resistance and support for Bluetooth 5.2.
Connection And Control
These earphones can be connected to smart devices via Bluetooth connection quickly and very quickly. It doesn't matter if you use an Android device or an iPhone, you just need to open the charging case of this earphone, open the list of Bluetooth devices on your device and activate it from the list.
Just like the Remi Buds 3 Pro, these earphones come with capacitive touch controls that allow you to easily skip, pause and play the media you are watching or listening to. It also comes with an increasingly common feature where the song will be paused when you remove one of the earphones from your ear.
Unfortunately, since these earphones do not have any downloadable applications, all settings for these earphones are fixed and cannot be changed. This includes settings to change the audio processing and also shortcuts on these earphones.
Yes, unfortunately no matter what smart device you are using (maybe except Pocophone or Xiaomi devices), the settings on these earphones cannot be changed, and this can be seen as a problem especially when you are listening to songs or any type of audio on the preferred streaming platform you.
Audio Quality
I can honestly say that I used and commented on these earphones after getting my ears used to premium offerings from audio brands such as Sony and Sennheiser, using these Poco Buds Pro earphones felt very uncomfortable.
I can honestly say that the audio quality of the Poco Buds Pro can be described as listening to a song where the speaker is behind a curtain. The low notes in particular are quite difficult to hear directly, while the middle and high notes are unsatisfactory due to the unclear audio quality.
The bass quality of these earphones is also very unsatisfactory. In terms of audio quality, the bass on the Poco Buds Pro is very weak and often drowns in the background of the song. For me, the only time when this bass issue might not be a big problem is when the song itself comes with a higher bass level than usual, like listening to songs in the electronica genre like DnB or jazz.
My final issue with the Poco Buds Pro is that the supplied ear tips do not fit my ear holes at all, so using these earphones is uncomfortable for me. They are either too loose causing noise leakage and causing poor audio quality, or too tight causing me to be uncomfortable using these earphones.
This unsatisfactory load also makes the built-in Adaptive Noise Canceling feature less useful for me as well. You can change the ear tips to your own preference, but for me, this would slightly spoil the aesthetics of these earphones.
I don't deny that I may have been exposed to TWS earphone options that come with better audio quality and that may also be more expensive, but this is my audio experience using these earphones.
Battery
The battery life of the Poco Buds 3 Pro earphones is quite satisfactory for me. With one full charge, these earphones can operate for around 6 hours, and the charging case of these earphones provides an additional charge of around 20-22 hours.
The charging of these earphones is also seen to be quite fast, where in my experience, a full charge can be done in less than 2 hours.
Conclusion
The Poco Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition earphones are one of the most beautiful earphones ever designed. From the earphone box to the earphone storage bag, the charging case and the earphones themselves, everything is beautifully designed to follow Klee's character design.
But it's also a pity that the audio quality of these earphones is not up to its design. Not to say that it's bad, but I still think that these earphones were developed solely for the purpose of collaboration with Hoyoverse, specifically for the game Genshin Impact.
If you are a big fan of Genshin Impact and like to collect games, figurines and accessories related to the game, this is a good accessory for you to collect.
Pros:
The design is similar to Klee's character concept in Genshin Impact
Easy to install and use
Battery life is satisfactory
Affordable price
Cons:
No companion app
Not so good audio quality
