Price and Specifications of the Newly Released Huawei MatePad Pro 11

Huawei released the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 tablet at the Huawei Summer 2022 Smart Office Launch event which took place in Bangkok, Thailand. This tablet is called by Huawei as a masterpiece with refined design and smart solutions.

The tablet with an 11-inch wide screen comes with an OLED Real Color Huawei FullView Display which brings a 92% screen-to-body ratio and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate.

Not only that, the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 is also claimed to be the world's first TÃœV Rheinland Full Care Display 3.0 certified tablet, as well as the first tablet to be supported by Huawei Sound to deliver an immersive and cinematic entertainment experience.

The brain of the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 seems to have two chip options. Based on the specification information displayed on the global Huawei consumer page, the chipset choices used are Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 888.

The tablet uses 3D graphene and a vapor chamber to keep the chipset cool. The chipset is paired with 8 or 12GB of RAM, with 128 and 256GB storage options. There's optional 4G connectivity, plus WiFi 6 (ax) and Bluetooth 5.2 with AAC and LDAC for audio.

Huawei MatePad Pro 11 runs HarmonyOS 3.0 which has a number of updates, one of which is Card Folder, which allows users to stack groups of widgets on top of each other, helping to keep the homescreen tidy.

Huawei has also redesigned the multitasking interface to make it easier to use. For example, a user can have two apps side by side and floating.

To support its performance, a large 8,300mAh battery is embedded, and this battery supports Huawei's 66W SuperCharge.

On the back there is a dual camera consisting of a 13MP main module (f/1.8 aperture, autofocus) and an 8MP ultra-wide (f/2.2, fixed focused). As for the needs of the front camera, a 16MP resolution sensor is embedded on the front.

Accessories

Another advantage of this tablet is the ability to multitask with the support of Multi-Window technology. Combined with the detachable 1.5mm Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard and the second-generation Huawei M-Pencil, this tablet is able to accommodate PC-like work, entertainment and creativity needs.

The latest Huawei M-Pencil has now changed its color (to white). Its function is also updated with a better grip and a smoother writing experience similar to the original experience of writing with a pencil.

In addition, there is a new magnetic smart keyboard with 1.5mm key travel. The keyboard is removable, the case support can be tilted from 120° to 165° which helps comfort when performing tasks such as sketching with a stylus. This case also has a holder for the M-Pen.

What should not be forgotten is of course the application support. No matter how sophisticated the device, it will be useless if the supporting applications are limited. Well, don't worry because Huawei's AppGallery is currently busy with various applications.

Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu when introducing this device at the Huawei Summer 2022 Smart Office Launch stage said, Huawei AppGallery is the third largest application market, and HMS Core offers around 203,000 applications. Apart from that, AppGallery is also available on supported Windows PCs.

Price and availability

Unfortunately there is no information on how much this tablet costs. At launch, Huawei only confirmed that the MatePad Pro 11 would hit the market.

As an estimate, looking at the price of the Huawei MatePad Pro 11 in China, quoted from GSM Arena, the price starts at CNY3,300 for the 8/128GB model. As for the fully-loaded 12/512GB version with M-Pencil and keyboard it costs CNY7,700. But of course we still have to wait for the official price announcement from Huawei.
