The Snapdragon Wear 2100 is a reworked chip from the Snapdragon 400. It is a processing chip with a 28nm design for smart watches. This chip is used by many Wear OS watch manufacturers and is followed by a successor, the Snapdraghon Wear 3100.
But, the experience of using the Wear OS watch is still more or less the same due to the outdated and inefficient chip design. After Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon Wear 4100 and 4100+, the Wear OS became increasingly useful with a better and great user experience as the chip was built with a 12nm design.
Qualcomm, recently rumored that they will be coming up with a new chip for smart watches. The chip is probably the Snapdragon Wear 5100 which promises a better experience, faster performance and will hopefully be Wear OS 3.0 friendly.
But Qualcomm will probably change the name of this chip to be in line with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. Also not sure if this chip will be built with 5nm design like Samsung Exynos W920 which has proven to be among the most powerful and efficient chips compared to Wear 4100 on Galaxy Watch4.
