Samsung today announced they are now releasing the world’s first GDDR6 memory module with a speed of 24Gbps. This memory chip is developed using Samsung's 10nm EUV technology. It aims for use on latest generation graphics cards, laptops, consoles, and artificial intelligence systems on high -performance computers (HPCs).
This memory is up to 30% faster than the 18Gbps DDR6 memory released by Samsung previously. The need to process data for artificial intelligence, and metamesta requires a faster system than previous generations.
Samsung also offers memory that uses less power for use on laptops. These 20Gbps and 16Gbps memories use 20% lower power at a voltage of 1.1V compared to the 1.35V used by other GDDR56 memories on the market.
