Secret Camera OPPO Find X5 Pro 5G Able to Produce Quality Images

OPPO revealed that it took a decade of research and development to create the camera system in the OPPO Find X5 Pro 5G. This latest flagship cellphone from OPPO does have a capable camera thanks to the embedded technology.

OPPO often innovates in product development to compete in the smartphone industry. Like the Find X5 Pro 5G, the camera development started when OPPO conducted computer vision algorithm experiments.

Launching from Towards Data Science, computer vision algorithm is a system that allows a device to detect various things in photos such as object identification, object segmentation to object recognition.

Furthermore, in 2014 OPPO invented the pixel binning technology. This technology combines multiple sensor pixels to create better images even in dark conditions. Coupled with the demosaic to increase the sharpness of photos during the day.

Between 2014 and 2018, OPPO improved its Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and computational photography capabilities. With this improvement, photos taken by users will look clear even if they are taken at night.

Later in 2019, the technology was upgraded as devices from OPPO started to take advantage of advanced AI Noise Reduction (AINR) for multi-exposure night shooting and facial recognition.

It didn't stop there, OPPO then innovated by making a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) imaging, namely MariSilicon X. This NPU was then installed in its latest flagship smartphone, Find X5 Pro 5G.

This NPU focuses on AI computing and photography workloads that are capable of delivering optimal processing power and image imaging capabilities, while still being battery efficient.

The sophistication of this NPU can also be seen from its HDR Algorithm which is capable of running up to 20 stops of dynamic range. So that the resulting photo will be detailed and not fade or lose color.

Thanks to this NPU, Find X5 Pro is also able to raise the standard of photo or video capture performance in low-light conditions. For example, to capture video in the dark, these devices require 30 or 60 images per second and process at least three billion pixels of information every second.

MariSilicon X combines an advanced Neural Processing Unit (NPU), Image Signal Processor (ISP), and multi-tier to enable real time RAW processing. Built on 6nm process technology, the MariSilicon X is capable of producing stunning 4K AI night videos.

Additionally, MariSilicon X has a state-of-the-art ISP that allows shooting with a 20bit 120db dynamic range. This NPU is capable of providing images with a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio between the lightest and darkest areas of the image.

Because there is MariSilicon X, this phone is capable of processing up to 18 trillion operations per second. The result is a detailed 4K Ultra Night Video. The 4K video produced by the Find X5 Pro 5G combines AINR and 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR) to enhance the detail of videos captured at night.
