Specifications of Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro

 


Vivo has finally inaugurated two of its newest phones from the X80 series, namely the X80 and X80 Pro. Here are the prices and specifications for the Vivo X80 and X80 Pro.

The X80 Pro is the successor to the X70 Pro which was released in October 2021. Vivo promises that the X80 Series is equipped with various updates in the photography sector and mobile phone performance.


Vivo is again partnering with ZEISS to bring the latest photography and videography features to the X80 series. The results of their collaboration resulted in the Cinematic Style Video mode and the ZEISS Cinematic Video Bokeh feature.


Both of these phones are claimed by Vivo as the only phones with dual flagship chips and Zeiss Optic. Despite using a different SoC, the X80 and X80 Pro use the same supporting processor chip, namely Vivo V1+.


There is a supporting processor other than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in X80 Pro, namely Vivo V1 +. Meanwhile, the X80 uses the fastest Mediatek processor today, the Dimensity 9000 also uses the V1+ chip.


Hadie also explained the use of this V1+ processor, whose function is to take over the work of the image signal processor, or image processing processor, which is in the main SoC.


What is the difference between Vivo X80 and X80 Pro? Vivo X80 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset combined with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal memory.


This phone has a 6.78-inch screen with Quad HD + resolution and curved edges. The screen uses an E5 AMOLED LTPO panel that supports a refresh rate of 1-120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 300Hz.


Vivo has paired four rear cameras on the X80 Pro consisting of a 50 MP main camera with a Samsung GNV sensor, a 48 MP ultra-wide camera, a 12 MP portrait camera, and an 8 MP periscope that promises 5x optical zoom.


A 4,700 mAh battery with 80W fast charging using a cable and 50W wirelessly completes the Vivo X80 Pro specifications. The phone runs Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 12.


Meanwhile, the Vivo X80 carries the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset as its brain combined with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal memory. This phone is equipped with a 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED screen with FHD + resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.


Vivo X80 carries three rear cameras with a 50 MP main camera configuration, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera and a 12 MP portrait lens. The Vivo X80 and X80 Pro cameras are both equipped with Zeiss T* lens coating.


The battery capacity of the Vivo X80 is slightly smaller at 4,500 mAh with 80W fast charging. The operating system used is the same as its brother, namely Android 12 wrapped in Funtouch OS 12.
