Twitter and Elon Musk Seek Troops for War on Court

Twitter seems very annoyed at Elon Musk canceling his $44 billion acquisition, and they are now said to have recruited reliable lawyers to fight at the Green Table.

Twitter is said to have selected the firms Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz to represent them in the lawsuit against Elon Musk. The firm's founder is Martin Lipton, the man who invented the poison pill tactic that Twitter initially used to stop Musk's acquisition of Twitter.

The lawyers used by the firm were not kidding. First is William Savitt, who previously represented companies such as Anthem and Sotheby's in lawsuits against activist investors.

Then the second is Leo Strine, who previously had 20 years of experience as a judge and served as Chief Justice at the Supreme Court of Delaware, USA, before finally becoming a lawyer in 2020.

While Musk's side did not want to lose, he hired the services of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan's firm, which is no less famous. Even more famous in the realm of technology, because previously they represented Samsung when Apple was sued for their cellphones that were considered to be imitating the iPhone.

The firm has previously represented Musk in a 'pedo guy' defamation lawsuit, as well as the SEC's lawsuit against Tesla over Musk's 'funding secured' tweet, and various other lawsuits. ).

Previously reported, Musk canceled the transaction of Twitter acquisition worth $ 44 billion. The reason for the cancellation was never clearly explained, apart from Musk's disappointment with Twitter for not being transparent in disclosing the number of spam and bot accounts on the social media network.

One growing analysis is that Musk may want Twitter to lower its acquisition price to under $44 billion as its valuation continues to fall. Then there are those who say that Musk feels unable to manage many companies and prioritizes the companies he already has.

Take, for example, Tesla, whose share price has now started to rise again after it announced the cancellation of its Twitter acquisition.
