The Stories feature on Snapchat makes many social media services copy this feature and come with a clone version of each. Instagram is there, Facebook is there, WhatsApp via Status or Twitter via Fleets which is now dead.
The popular messaging app WhatsApp, is currently testing a new Status feature. Status to date only allows users to share GIFs, images, videos or enter any text. This new feature being tested is voice message sharing.
As in the main chat room, these voice messages will also be encrypted and inaccessible to anyone. Users may also be able to share received voice messages and directly share to Status. For now, not sure when WhatsApp will distribute this feature to all and will it be used by many people?
Twitter which has been testing the voicemail feature via Twitter Voice for iOS for a long time to this day is still not accessible to all and offered on more platforms. Audio conversations like Clubhouse are seen as not very popular, so is this a new way for voices to be shared to social platforms?
