The smart screen Xiaomi Smart Home Display 6 has been launched in China today. It comes with a variety of privacy features that allow the microphone and camera to be blocked from access through a physical switch. On the camera for example a physical cover will block the 2MP lens on the front for users who worry about being spied on.
On the side there is a physical switch that turns off the microphone which also prevents the virtual assistant Xiao AI from working. The smart screen is equipped with a 6″ IPS LCD screen in front with a speaker below it.
The MIUI Home operating system is used which allows it to be used as a control hub for smart connected devices in the household. In China, the Xiaomi Smart Home Display 6 is sold at a price of RMB 349 (~RM230) apiece.
