Apple this week has scheduled an event on September 8, 2022, where they are expected to introduce the iPhone 14 and the Apple Watch.
Through the invitation displayed by Apple on their site, it uses a poster design that combines twinkling stars, as well as a space-like design.
This led to speculation that the iPhone 14 would be the first to come with satellite connection support. Apple is expected to use Globalstar services for this purpose.
According to initial speculation, this satellite connection is expected to be used for emergency communications, allowing iPhone users to report emergencies to the authorities, and also send SMS to immediate family members via the satellite connection – especially in areas outside the support of normal telecommunications networks.
Rumors regarding this satellite connection have been heard for the last year or two, and we may see it present on the iPhone 14 soon.
