Apple Pay Can Now Be Used In Malaysia

Apple has now activated the Apple Pay feature, allowing local users to use the smart payment feature through iPhone, Apple Watch and other Apple devices.

Through Apple Pay, users can link a credit or debit card to an Apple Wallet account, and then use Apple Pay by simply touching the device to the terminal – such as by touching the iPhone to the payment terminal, or the Apple Watch to the payment terminal.

In terms of device support, Apple Pay supports iPhones with Face ID and Touch ID support, except iPhone 5s, in addition to Apple Watch Series 1 and newer. Users can also use it with iPad Pro, iPad Air, and iPads that support Touch ID or Face ID. It can also be used on Macs with Touch ID, as well as Macs introduced after 2012.

For those of you who use an Apple device, you can open the Apple Wallet application today, and then start adding your card to your Apple Pay account by tapping on the "+" icon in the application.

From our tests, it activates in less than a minute after being added, and can then be used for payment purposes via iPhone or Apple Pay. We use it together with cards issued by Maybank.

With Apple Pay, Apple device users can use it at a large number of payment terminals where credit or debit cards are accepted, as well as using payments on the web - such as through Shopee and others.
