Apple Pay : No need to enter a PIN for transactions over RM250

Today, many are already aware that wave payments using credit or debit cards are limited to RM250, and more than that need to enter a PIN. But, the matter is not for Apple Pay.

Apple Pay is seen as focusing on marketing as a secure and personal option, as well as providing a more comfortable user experience. Users can simply tap their iPhone or Apple Watch on the terminal for transactions of more than RM250, and do not need to enter any PIN.

This was confirmed by Maybank and Ambank. Compared to PIN, authentication will be done using Touch ID or Face ID.

With this step, it provides a better cashless usage experience than using a credit or debit card. In fact, Samsung Pay previously also required users to enter a PIN number for transactions over RM250.
